MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

The Laguna Phuket Golf Club opened 18 holes for play on 15 August 1992 and currently has 100 Founder Members, 164 Regular Members and 111 Condominium Members under enrollment. A total of 500 transferable Memberships will be granted under the terms and conditions of the Club by-laws.  All Memberships have been created to provide equal privileges to spouses. Founder, Regular and Associate Members (The Members) are entitled to use the golf course free of charge.

REGULAR MEMBER

Regular Members shall be individuals over the age of twenty (20) who apply to the Company to become Members of the Club and are accepted.

CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP

We also have available a  unique Corporate Membership program that
entitles companies to have two nominees over the life term of the
Membership, plus two additional nominees during the first Five years period.

RIGHT TO TRANSFER MEMBERSHIP

All Founder, Regular and Corporate Memberships are fully transferable.
The transferor shall pay a transfer fee fixed by the Executive Board at 10 %
of the present selling price for a new Membership purchased from the Club.

MEMBERSHIP CLUB DUES

Founder, Regular and Corporate Members will be liable for Club Dues
in accordance with the fees established. The Executive Board reserves the right
to review the Club Dues from time to time.

PRACTICE FACILITIES

Included in with the practice facilities are two practice tees, two pitching greens, and a 2,800 square meter putting green.

RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES

¨      Honorary, Founder, Regular and Associate Members (The Members) are entitled to use the golf course free of charge.

¨      All members will be accorded privileges and discounts at hotels within Laguna Phuket and other Banyan Tree properties. The privileges are subject to change and availability.

¨      Guests who are accompanied by a Member for golf, shall be charged 50% of the published “Walk – In” green fee rate.

¨      Founder and Regular Members will be liable for club dues in accordance with the fees established by the executive board.

¨      Club due: For year 2002 Baht 8,964 per year. (review every year, will be inform in advance)

INFORMATION ON LAGUNA PHUKET GOLF CLUB

Laguna Phuket Golf Club is a resort style 18 holes golf course located within the Laguna Phuket development.   Situated on the exclusive Bang Tao Bay on the western shore of Phuket Island, this par 71 layout stretches 6,850 yards from the Championship tees.

 

The front 9 holes of this Max Wexler designed golf course opened for play on 7 December 1991.  The back 9 holes were opened in August 1992.

 

Carved out of the existing sand hills, the front 9 holes, a par 36, meanders through a once flourishing coconut plantation.  Players must be exact on their tee shots, as water comes into play on 5 out of the 9 holes.

 

The back 9 features water on 8 out of the 9 holes. Playing to a par 35, golfers will enjoy the challenge of the back – to – back par 5 finishing holes, and the three par 3’s. The 11th hole, although only 138 yards, will have a lasting impression.

 

Also available at Laguna Phuket Golf Club are practice facilities such as pitching green, driving range and a 2,500 square metre putting green.  A teaching professional is on staff to assist golfers with instruction.

 

The excellent Clubhouse facilities include the Pro Shop, Mens and Ladies Locker Rooms, Laguna Café’ and three Tennis Courts.
