Designed
for the pleasure and enjoyment of golfers at any skill level,
the choice of five teeing areas allows the course to be played
from varying distances - from a length of 7,049 yards from the
back tees to a comfortable 5,655 yards from the forward tees.
The course has 18 holes and is par 72. The local club members
call the course the "Blue Nasty"

The Canyon Course features natural hazards,
acres of lakes accentuated by towering trees, multiple tees,
rolling fairways and slick Bermuda Tiff Dwarf greens. The
Johnnie Walker Classic 1994, 1998 and the Honda Invitational
Tournament 1996 were played on this course.
Contoured fairways and skillfully placed
pure white sand bunkers combine to create a beautiful,
distinctive and challenging golf environment. Views across the
golf course are exciting and dramatic. The course is also
serviced by five kiosks offering a wide range of cold drinks
and snacks for leisurely consumption.
Gary Player was
moved to comment. "Absolutely magnificent course, they've got
the most beautiful setting, really using the natural landscape
and building the holes around it. You
won't find a better club house anywhere in the world, the food
is good, and everybody is friendly. How can you beat it!" |
